English Code-Mixing Used by Students of Nusantara University

Abstrak

This thesis discusses  the use of code mixing by students of Nusantara University Manado in their conversations. The purpose of this study is to find the type of code mixing usd by students of Nusantara Univeersity Manado in their conversations. The purpose of using code mixing in student conversations. There search method of this thesis is to use a qualitative method. The researcher collected data through student conversations conducted on campus, during leisure time, in class, and ecen when discussing courses. 

The results of this study explain rthat students of Nusantara University Manado often use code mixing both consciously and unconsciously. They often use the outer code mixing type and the hybrid code mixing type.
